The Montreal Canadiens have called up forwards Mike Blunden and Patrick Holland to replace the injured Brandon Prust and Daniel Briere. Blunden has recorded three points (2 goals, 1 assist) in three games with Hamilton this season. Patrick Holland has recorded 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and leads the team with a +4 in four games this season.

MONTREAL, QUEBEC – Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today the Canadiens have recalled forwards Mike Blunden and Patrick Holland from the Bulldogs.

Patrick Holland and Mike Blunden have arguably been the best forwards for the Bulldogs so far this season and they have been rewarded by joining the Habs for their hard work with the Dogs. We can expect Holland, a more offensive minded player, to be inserted on the third line to try and emulate what the Canadiens were trying to do with Briere. Mike Blunden will most likely join the fourth line with Ryan White and Michael Bournival or Travis Moen depending on which player gets to play on the second line with Plekanec and Gionta.
