UPDATE (10/22/13): The Montreal Canadiens have recalled defenseman Nathan Beaulieu after just sending him down to Hamilton late Saturday night.

MONTREAL, QUEBEC – Montreal Canadiens and Hamilton Bulldogs General Manager Marc Bergevin announced today the Canadiens have recalled defenceman Nathan Beaulieu from the Bulldogs.


The Montreal Canadiens have announced that defenseman Nathan Beaulieu has been sent back to the Hamilton Bulldogs of the AHL. Beaulieu played against the Edmonton Oilers and Winnipeg Jets and played an average of about 11:00 minutes of ice time. Beaulieu was a +1 and recorded no points or shots in the two appearances.

Defenseman Nathan Beaulieu was assigned tonight to Hamilton.

With Beaulieu sent down we can expect the Canadiens to call up two forwards to replace Daniel Briere who suffered a concussion and Brandon Prust who might have injured his shoulder again. Possible candidates to be called up from Hamilton are Mike Blunden, Gabriel Dumont, Nick Tarnasky, Patrick Holland and maybe Louis Leblanc.
