Hamilton Bulldogs vs St. John's Ice Caps Game Preview

The Hamilton Bulldogs will open their regular season tonight at home versus the St. Johns Ice Caps (Winnipeg Jets farm club).

Game Details:

The Hamilton Bulldogs will be without forwards Steve Quailer and Christian Thomas who are both recovering from injuries sustained during training camp aswell as Michael Bournival who made the Montreal Canadiens opening night roster. Defensemen Jarred Tinordi also made the opening night roster along side Bournival and Nathan Beaulieu was recently called up by the Habs for their four game road trip out west.

The Bulldogs announced yesterday that forward Martin St. Pierre will serve as the team Captain and will be accompanied by assistant captains Greg Pateryn and Gabriel Dumont.

“With these three players, we believe we have a group capable of leading in many different ways,” said Hamilton Bulldogs Head Coach Sylvain Lefebvre.  “Martin St. Pierre is an experienced player that has been a captain in the past, Greg Pateryn has also been a captain previously and Gabriel Dumont is a player of great character.”
