Parros recovering quickly from concussion

General Manager Marc Bergevin told the Montreal Gazette today that George Parros is recovering quickly from his concussion he suffered in the Habs home opener against the Leafs. Parros and Colton Orr engaged in their second fight of the game that resulted in Parros smashing his chin and face on the ice causing him to be stretchered off the ice.

Although there is still no set timeline for Parros’ return to the Habs lineup Bergevin said they will be taking it easy with him and will not be rushing him in the lineup anytime soon.

“Every day is just a checklist. It’s to check the symptoms, a whole bunch of them — headaches, (sensitivity to) lights … He’s almost symptom-free as we speak. Every day is an evaluation because the next day could be worse, but so far, it’s been going up every day.
