The Hamilton Bulldogs have finalized their roster for the upcoming 2013-14 American Hockey League season. The team announced that Stephen MacAulay, Stefan Chaput, Alex Belzile, Peter Delmas and Mike Condon were the final cuts, and would all be assigned to the ECHL.
There are many familiar faces on the roster of the Canadiens top affiliate, most of whom were at the Montreal Canadiens training camp last month. Wingers Akim Aliu and Maxime Macenauer as well as defenseman Nathan McIver were on tryouts with Hamilton, and were all signed to 25 game professional tryout contracts.
Joining them on the roster are forwards Mike Blunden, Justin Courtnall, Erik Nystrom, Ben Duffy, Louis Leblanc, Joonas Nattinen, Sven Andrighetto, Patrick Holland, Gabriel Dumont, Stefan Fournier, Nick Tarnasky and Martin St. Pierre.
Nathan Beaulieu was also named to the Bulldogs roster, but he was subsequently recalled to the NHL by the Canadiens. Christian Thomas and Steve Quailer will also join Hamilton once they recover from injury.
The Hamilton Bulldogs begin their season next Friday, October 11th, when they play host to the St. John’s Ice Caps.
