The Playoffs continue in Ottawa tonight as the Montreal Canadiens come into the Nation’s Capital for game 3 of their best-of-seven series with the Ottawa Senators.
The Canadiens outshot the Senators 50-31 in Game 1, but lost 4-2, then bounced back in game two and dominated large parts of the game on route to a 3-1 win.
Ottawa grabbed home-ice advantage after winning game 1 in Montreal. The Habs will need to come out firing tonight and silence the Ottawa crowd in their first road game of the series.
“I really like the way we played the last two games,” Therrien said after Game 2. “We just got the result tonight.”
- Gryba will serve final game of his suspension for hit on Eller.
- Brian Gionta could play tonight. He took part in morning skate today.
- Starting goalies will of course be Price and Anderson.
- Look for Brendan Gallagher to be big again tonight for the Habs.
Players To Watch:
Brendan Gallagher - He has a goal in each of the first to games of the playoffs. Will be key for Montreal tonight on offense. Must make presence felt in front of the net.
Carey Price – Habs need big time goaltending tonight. Price needs to out play Anderson if Habs want to win tonight. Expect some big saves from CP31 tonight folks!
Craig Anderson – Like i said about Price, Anderson is a key guy for the Senators. If he is out dueled by Price, Habs will have the upper hand.
Erik Karlsson – Karlsson will most likely log huge minutes for Ottawa tonight. He is averaging around 28 minutes of ice time in the first two games of the series. Karlsson will also be a big part of the Senators powerplay and all-around offense.
