Blake Geoffrion's Surgery Successful

The details of the injury suffered by Bulldogs’ forward Blake Geoffrion last night have been released by the Hamilton organization.

Geoffrion had successful surgery to correct a depressed skull fracture, his condition is stable but remains in intensive care. He is expected to make a full recovery but will be out of the lineup indefinitely.

I’m sure the sympathies of the entire Bulldogs’ fanbase is with Geoffrion and his family, who was in attendance last night at the Bell Centre. He was taken from the ice in a manner reminiscent of Max Pacioretty’s injury two years ago.

In hockey terms, this leaves the Bulldogs without two of their top goal scoring threats in Leblanc and Geoffrion, a difficult situation for an all ready suspect offense.
