Practice lines from the Hamilton Bulldogs’ camp.
Bad signs for Berger-Lefebrve-Avtsin, all Hamilton players last season, they appear to be each on the outside looking in for roster spots in Hamilton next year, and seem to be destined for the ECHL.
MacAuley and Farnham continue their campaign to earn a roster spot in the AHL, they have outlasted the other tryout forwards.
Darryl Boyce is an interesting case for a new tryout for the Bulldogs. The former Toronto Marlie and Maple Leaf has had 37 points in 77 games in the AHL over the past 3 seasons. He is likely to be a quality player for the Bulldogs, but is also likely to take a roster spot form another prospect if he remains with the Bulldogs past his 25 game try out contract.
With 30 players currently under contract expect a number of players to be released or sent to the ECHL after the exhibition game against Toronto today. At least 4 of the 18 forwards from the current lineup should be cut.
Tim Bozon has had a strong start, he’s among the league leaders of the WHL with 10 points (5 goals) in 6 games. Charles Hudon has had a similarly strong start with 10 points (5 games) in 7 games and Brady Vail has 9 points in 7. Alex Galchenyuk has managed 9 in 6 games.
Dalton Thrower has been scratched twice in a controverial move by Saskatoon Blades coach Lorne Molleken, while teammate Darren Dietz has 3 goals but has suffered a -7 goal differentials in 7 games.
