Ryan White Re-Signs With Montreal Canadiens

Bob MacKenzie reports: “MTL agrees to terms with forward Ryan White on a one-year, one-way deal at $687,500.”

Ryan White is a nice young bottom-six player that has developed nicely in the last few years. He can hit, fight and still play decent hockey. A one year deal for minimal cap money gives him a chance to show more that he did last season were he missed most of the season due to injury and played only 20 games.

Expect the 24 year old to contibute to the Habs next year as a solid 4th line player. Also expect him to punch-up Bruins that try to go knee-on-knee with Subban.

This begins the process of re-signing the Habs many RFAs this summer including Price, Subban, Eller, Emelin and Diaz.

Nice! Just about right. He def. showed he was worth re-signing even though he only played a few games. Best thing also is that he’s still young.
