Stanley Cup Final Predictions!

Well, a few months of grueling playoff hockey and we’ve made it. The Stanley Cup Final, where the hardest trophy to win in sports is won. Need 4 rounds, 16 wins and a some luck to get through it. In round 3, I predicted Los Angeles over Phoenix in 7 games, with New Jersey over the Rangers in 6.

Winner Winner! I picked the right winner in both instances, but LA was able to close it out in 5. I got both the games and the winner right for the New Jersey/New York series!.

Now, what are my predictions for the Final? I think LA takes this, but have a bit of trouble at the beginning due to rust. I like their overall depth from top to bottom, elite goaltender and star caliber players playing mostly (ahem Jeff Carter) to potential. That being said, the Devils can easily steal this away with the way they’ve been playing. Relentless forecheck, solid goaltending and being led by two of the most dynamic offensive players in the game.

Still, going with my gut. Los Angeles in six.
