Canadiens Get Ready To Face Off Against The Sabres On Wednesday

The Buffalo Sabres, now sitting in the 9th spot just 2 points behind Washington, come into the Bell Centre for a contest against the Canadiens tomorrow night. The Sabres, once in the cellar of the Eastern conference, have gone on a 6-2-2 run to vault themselves into 9th. They have played the same number of games as Washington, and have an opportunity to vault into a tie for 8th over the idle Capitals tomorrow evening. Obviously, a lot of things have gone right for the Sabres recently.

The Canadiens have lost 2 straight in overtime, and are still in the 15th spot of the East, primed for a good draft pick. The only good news to emerge lately out of Montreal is that Scott Gomez is expecting to be bought out at the end of the season. The trade was absolutely horrendous, and I’m hoping that the CBA negotiations include the much-rumoured amnesty buyout.

As for the game tomorrow, the puck drops at 7:00 pm.

My prediction? 3-1 Sabres in a must-win for them.
