Media Dump

I know I was supposed to do a post yesterday. I was planning a Player Study on Gionta, but I couldn’t make myself do it. I’ve become so bored of writing more or less the same thing 3 times a week, and I’m sure you, the readers find it boring as well. If I’m uninspired, then the writing will suffer. This means the Player Studies are officially extinct (unless the readers demand it to back).

So I sat down and did some brainstorming on what I could do until the season starts. I came up with some stuff, nothing that’ll last until Oct.6, but it’s something.

What I’m about to do is basically dump a bunch of stuff into this post, and then you can choose what you want to watch, look at or listen to. I will only put things that are hockey related and outside of the hockey world. (e.g movie  trailers, commercials, songs etc.)

Here we go!

First up are movies. There are two. One I expect to be extremely stupid, the only reason I may go see it, would because one of my favourite comedians, Russel Peters us in it. The second, I absolutely can’t wait to feast my eyes before it. Before I elaborate on this one, here’s the first trailer (the dumb one).

I doubt those helmets are regulation, I doubt this movie will focus on the hockey side of things, more the cultural and family aspects. Still debating if I want to give up $13.00 to see this one.

Now the second, that I already now that I will be seeing. The movie is called “Goon”. I’ll let the trailer tell you what it’s about, but first I’d like to point out that this is the kind of movie the NHL wouldn’t like everyone to see as it highlights the darker side of hockey, the on and off-ice life of a “goon”. The hockey world has witnessed too much of that dark side this summer with the deaths of three NHL enforcers.

Ahhhhh, oh I can’t wait. Simply Can, not, wait.

Moving from movies to commericials, Our P.K Subban was the star of the new Nike “Always On” Commercial. Pretty good if I do so myself.\

Great song too! Let me know what you think of that commercial @JScaresHabs

Just as an added bonus here is the soundtrack to NHL 12, none of the songs actually related to hockey, but now since they’re featured on a hockey video game, they do. (No actually put a video up with all the songs in one video so here’s a link to a channel that has all the songs on it)
